The Beatles Cover of the Day- “Across The Universe” by David Bowie. The Beatles was written by John Lennon- and is credited to Lennon-McCartney. The first version is the one I like the most- it appeared on a compilation album called No One’s Gonna Change Our World.  “Across The Universe” would later appear on the final Beatles album that was released Let It Be in a different form. It is one of the most covered songs that was written by John Lennon. In 1975 David Bowie covered it on his Young Americans album- John lends back up vocals and guitar on the Bowie version.
