MY MUSIC LISTENING SUMMARY FOR MAY 2019

My music listening summary for May 2019-

I listened to 233 albums in May- my highest total for a month so far this year. That brings my total albums listened to this year to 1076- an average of 7.12 a day. 48 albums I listened to this month I had never heard before- I am happy with that number.

One of my goals this year to listen to an average of 1 album from 1969 a day- and for May I listened to 31 1969 albums in 31 days bringing my yearly total so far to 151 different 1969 albums in 151 days. Still on track.

So far in 2018 I have listened to the complete studio discographies of- The Beatles [5 times} R.E.M., The Band, U2, CCR, The Kinks, Nick Drake,  The Steel Wheels, Harry Nilsson, XTC, Elvis Costello, Mitski, The Ramones, David Bowie, Crowded House, Warren Zevon, Bruce Springsteen, Talking Heads, Led Zeppelin, The Clash, The Police, Uncle Tupelo, Steely Dan, George Harrison, Steve Earle, The Doors, Queen, Van Morrison, John Lennon, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, The Decemberists. I am currently working on Neil Young, The Byrds, Paul McCartney, Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt.

    • Um, Hans, you may have already done it. I see you’ve been blogging for a number of years. Add up multiple posts for years. It would be a matter of compiling and indexing what you already have.

    • An encyclopedia doesn’t need an angle, other than what time frame it covers? You’d have to look into copyright things if you used anything by other authors, maybe (I don’t know, but it seems like it). You’d need graphics with time lines.
