“1969” DOCUMENTARY SERIES BEGINS THIS WEEK ON ABC-TV

I have been covering the year 1969 on the blog- and this week ABC-TV began a new documentary series on the year 1969- titled- “1969”- the series began Tuesday evening with an episode called “The Moon Shot.” which recalled Apollo 11’s going to the Moon and back. This coming Tuesday’s episode will cover Ted Kennedy’s Chappaquiddick- the episode is called “The Girl In The Car.” Tuesday 10PM EST on ABC-TV. Future episodes will deal with Charlies Manson, John and Yoko’s Bed-In, Woodstock and my buddy Richard Milhous Nixon’s first year in office.

    • I thought the show on The Moon Shot was pretty accurate- I was into it then- and though the years so I can’t really say i learned much new but.. oh not that it was in the show but I think we had this discussion about Armstrong being selected and why- to be the first man to walk on the moon- i was drawing a blank at the time- it was i think because he was a civilian.

    • Michael Collins was one of those interviewed- plus some current astronauts. I agree give us the truth not spin. Will be interesting to see how the other episodes are handled.
