THE ROLLING STONES SONG OF THE DAY–FACTORY GIRL

The Rolling Stones Song of the Day is Factory Girl. Factory Girl was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and is the penultimate song on their outstanding Beggars Banquet album from 1968. It is hard to believe that this is the same band that a year earlier made Their Satanic Majesties Request. Factory Girl is an Appalachian sounding folk song- it is my third favorite song on the album behind Street Fighting Man and Sympathy For The Devil. A show I listen to every week Celtic Crush will play this song a few times a year, it does fit in well with the Celtic music sound.

  1. I love this one. At Glastonbury 2013, they did an adaptation of Factory Girl, called, “Glastonbury Girl.” The lyrics were right on target. It was really sweet.
