The Rolling Stones Song of the Day is- That’s How Strong My Love Is. The song was written by Roosevelt Jamison who was a songwriter and manager in the South. The song was first done by a Jamison discovery- O.V. Wright but was best known with it in the hands of the great Otis Redding who released it as the b-side to his single “Mr. Pitiful” in 1964. The Rolling Stones recorded the song at Chess Studio in May 1965 and it is on their Out Of Our Heads album. The highlight of The Stones performance is Mick Jagger’s vocals on the ballad. Is it as good as Otis’s version? No but it more than holds its own.
