• FRED ASTAIRE: THE ASTAIRE STORY:1952: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: I can’t recall why -I must have read something about it- but I ordered up The Astaire Story album through the library system. I liked it so I had to get my own copy. This re-issue came out last year- 2 discs 41 songs recorded in the early 50’s with Fred Astaire singing jazz classics backed up by Oscar Peterson.  Not something I’d listen to every day but I really enjoy Astaire’s singing- my wife says I sound just like him. I can’t dance like him though.
