The American Top 40 replay on the 70’s on 7 this week if from the week of September 3, 1977. I had started listening to the Top 40 every week just a few weeks earlier in August 1977- and I would keep track of the top 40 and chart the progress of each song week to week. I probably have those papers in a box somewhere. I think in 1978 and 1979 the music got a lot better overall- this isn’t a highly impressive week.  Some good stuff though but also some truly wretched stuff. I feel embarrassed for Peter Frampton every time i hear “I’m In You.”
