The Beatles Song Of The Day is “Getting Better.” “Getting Better ” is the 4th song on side 1 of The Beatles “Sgt.Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ album. One afternoon Paul McCartney was walking around Primrose Hill with his dog Martha and author Hunter Davies. It was the first nice day in the spring and Paul remarked “It’s getting better.” Paul also remembered when Ringo was out for a while on tour in 1964 and Jimmy Nicol replaced him, after the concerts they would ask him how he was doing and Nicol would always reply ‘It’s getting better.”  After getting back from the walk Paul was singing the phrase over and over and working on it with his guitar. Later that evening John Lennon stopped by and they started working on the song. This is a great example of John and Paul working together on a song. You get Paul’s optimism…
