WHAT HAPPENED TODAY AT THE LIBRARY 4.27.18

Again not working again until Monday- enjoying Gettysburg. I did remember this story though- someone at least once a week comes in and asks for a book where they don’t have the title but have the author or have the the title and don’t have the author- that is usually no problem in finding the book but once in  a while someone will come in and not have the author and only have part of the title or an incorrect title- and that is hard to find. One guy though came in and asked for that new book by that one author. That is kind of hard to narrow down ‘That one book by the one author”… that could be anyone. It made me laugh and reminded me of one time back in the early 90’s when I was on vacation and I can’t recall where I was but I was in a record store and some guy came in and asked the poor fellow who was working at the store “Do You have that record from that pretty girl.’  Eventually the guy came up with a name “Trisha Yearbook”… Trisha YEARBOOK?… maybe it was Trisha Yearwood.

  1. I worked at a Hastings for all of two months at one point, and that kind of thing happens so frequently it’s mind-boggling. In this age of smartphones and Google, you’d think folks would be able to do a little research before shopping.
