The Beatles Song Of The Day is “Money [That’s What I Want}” the final song on The Beatles second album “With The Beatles.” “Money” was written by Janie Bradford and Berry Gordy. John Lennon added on a “I want to be free'”  The song was originally released by Barrett Strong and released in December of 1959. It reached #23 on the American Top 40 chart. The song was in The Beatles concert repertoire from 1960 to 1964. John Lennon: vocal and rhythm guitar/ Paul McCartney: backing vocal and bass guitar/ George Harrison: backing vocal and lead guitar/ Ringo Starr: drums/ George Martin:piano. The song was recorded on July 18th and 30th, 1963 at Abbey Road. Producer: George Martin. The Beatles version demolishes the original. This song was perfect for John Lennon to sing. The Beatles version is full of energy. They make the song their own.
