2018 NFL Mock Draft Pick #6 – Indianapolis Colts – S Derwin James Florida State

Indy has the luxury of Andrew Luck hopefully returning to form this season after last years lost season. Indy needs help in a lot of areas, and honestly after Denver trades out of the 5th slot, the Colts will be jumping up and down to grab Quenton Nelson. The only hitch is to see who is taken before then. This could be Bradley Chubb as well it could be Saquon Barkley. Since all of those guys are off the board, best available is James.

He fills a need and will be an immediate impact for the Colts.

James is a good character guy and at 6’2″ 215 the ideal size to play safety in the NFL. He is a good hitter and is versatile enough to cover tight ends and running backs.

The Colts draft Derwin James, Safety, Florida State.
