TODAY- listened to 4 different albums- 154 day total- 870 different albums. On pace for 2062.

  • NO THANKS! THE 70’S PUNK REBELLION: 2003: DISC 1, DISC 2, DISC 3 AND DISC 4: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: A Rhino release- 100 songs from 75 different artists -the songs released from 1973-1980. A who’s who from the punk movement- the Sex Pistols are absent though. The Clash, The Ramones, New York Dolls, Buzzcocks, The Jam, Television, Elvis Costello, Patti Smith, The Stranglers, Peru Ubu, The Stooges, Wire, Stiff Little Fingers,,, you get the idea. Great box set- and a great listen- good to hear songs you don’t hear that often anymore.

  1. Landed at this post and had a monumental flashback to early days of Punk. Sigh – spent the last few minutes trying to recall whose shows I caught and where. Bottom line, I saw them all in ridiculously small venues before the masses caught on. Devo at a community center, Talking Heads in a second rate nightclub,The Clash, Elvis Costello, Psychedelic Furs, Jello Biafra, Cocteau Twins, Skinny Puppy, Nash the Slash, on and on and on. 🙂
