THE VIEW FROM THE 6TH FLOOR WINDOW

The most haunting view in America. The view from the 6th floor window of the Texas Schoolbook Depository Building onto Dealey Plaza in Dallas. These pictures are not from the exact window that Lee Oswald shot from but the window next to it. Highly recommended-if in Dallas the 6th Floor Museum. The actual area where Oswald was is surrounded by a wall of glass so you can’t go there but you can see the set up as it was on November 22nd, 1963. The museum is well worth visiting too. The last time I was there spent several hours in the museum and walking the grounds of Dealey Plaza. There is an X on the street where the car was when the fatal bullet hit. It is very strange -this is an active and very busy street yet when there is a red light people run out to stand on the X to get their picture taken- and act like they are at Disney World or something. It is a wonder someone hasn’t been run over- I saw several times cars having to break to avoid hitting the idiots out in the street.  My first impression of Dealey Plaza on my first trip was how small it was.
