I love books. I can’t get rid of any of them. I still have the first books I bought as a young kid interested in history and sports. I have thousands of books–that really at this point need to be sorted out a little better. I don’t own a Kindle or any of those devices. I like holding a book in my hand as I read it. Someday the physical book may be gone but I won’t live to see it. It saddens me that so many bookstores are going out of business. I love a great used bookstore. My favorite is Wonder Books-they have three stores north of the Washington, D.C. area- the two I go to a few times a year are located in Frederick and Hagerstown, Maryland. I have been to used book stores who have very high prices on their books- but Wonder Books have very reasonable prices on their books so much so that I rarely even look at the price on them until I go to check out. I can spend hours and hours there. I always walk out with a big bag of books. Mrs. Postcard is very patient.
The above t-shirt Mrs. Postcard bought for me at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. Thomas Jefferson’s great quote about his love for books.
