thanks for the memories Oklahoma

the url is a bit misleading – there does not have to be a crime. in fact that is how this works, you are not charged with a crime. because if you were charged with a crime this law would not pass muster on Amendment 4. wait i am not sure, do we still have an Amendment 4?

anyway i know that the tourist industry of oklahoma will not be affected one bit by me not visiting, or bringing my family to visit. but i have to do what i can.

sometimes i wonder what it took for the founding fathers to finally say ok enough is enough. when you read the Constitution you can see that our laws are basically based on the honor system….and quite frankly our country is lacking this from our lawmakers, our law enforcers, and the lobby groups that influence the laws.

from this article – Here’s how it works. If a trooper suspects a person may have money tied to some type of crime, the highway patrol can scan and seize money from prepaid cards.  OHP stresses troopers do not do this during all traffic stops, only situations where they believe there is probable cause.

well that certainly seems just right then. i am positive that no law enforcement officer has ever been mistaken in the use of probable cause.

please understand – i believe in the majority of law enforcement. i am involved in my community and know many of the local LEOs on a personal level. this law however is too much power for one officer to have.

from the article – Troopers insist this isn’t just about seizing cash. um ok sure. the check is in the mail, and so on.

how soon until this comes to your state? where are the ones that are standing up for the rights of the citizens? are we even citizens anymore? this is a question i ask often. they think we are subjects. not here.
