Benjamin Harrison Becomes First President To Attend A Baseball Game-This Day 1892

On this day in 1892 Benjamin “the human iceberg” Harrison became the first President of the United States to attend a baseball game. The Reds beat the Senators in 11 innings 7-4. A number of presidents since have been baseball fans- George W. Bush owned the Texas Rangers but my vote for the best baseball fan and best sports fan who was POTUS would be Richard Nixon.
