On this day in 1966 Albert Speer was released at midnight from Spandau prison after completing his 20 year sentence. Speer was the Nazi Minister of Armaments and “Hitler’s architect” Speer got off easy because he was ‘cultured” I am of the school that Speer was the worst of the whole bunch because he knew better. He died in 1981 at the age of 76.
