The home run landed just in fair territory in the right field stands. The home run was hit off of Washington Senators pitcher Tom Zachary. This would stand as the record until Roger Maris broke it in 1961. Also in that game the  greatest pitcher in baseball history, Walter Johnson of the Washington Senators came into the game in the 9th inning as a pinch-hitter. It would be his last major league appearance. Walter Johnson was a good hitting pitcher, he had 24 home runs during his career and was a .235 hitter.
