Made a trip to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio today. Its only a 2 hour drive. It has been years since I’ve been there. This is my 5th trip to the Hall of Fame. I really enjoy the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Its well done but I always come away thinking there is something lacking. I also think there is too much emphasis on the current NFL and not the past. A good example they have a movie theater there. What do they play? A half hour film which is very well done but it is on last season focusing on the Super Bowl. I just watched the Super Bowl 5 months ago. I would rather have watched something that dealt with Pro Football history. I’d give the Pro Football Hall of Fame a “B”… whereas the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown gets and “A plus” I have also been to Cooperstown 5 times and that is a ten hour drive one way and each time I went I went to one place on that trip-Cooperstown, it was never like I was just in the neighborhood and stopped in. Now I have the itch to go to Cooperstown again and I haven’t been there in 20 years. I really think they need to make the Pro Football Hall of Fame bigger, expand. More on the Pro Football Hall of Fame later.
i think the problem i have with the hall is that there are too many qb/rb/wr types and not enough linemen. linemen by far outnumber any position, but have little representation. i realize that it is hard to compile stats for a lineman, but there has to be something.
i agree- more lineman on both sides of the ball.. i was glad to see dawson get in–he was as good as they get at center.. he was as great as mike webster..he just didn’t have the super bowl rings..
