I had totally forgotten this ‘message song’ – I bet I haven’t heard it in 50 years. Hopefully I will never hear it again. Teenagers and parents discuss culture change and of course the kids have the more liberal views and the parents the more conservative.The Generation Gap…man. Listen at your own risk. This was the only hit by the studio group assembled by producers Louis Stallman and Bobby Susser.
Ok I ignored your advice and now won’t get there time back. What the hell – this was a hit?? I kept wishing Dee Snider from Twisted Sister would come crashing into the middle of it with a bit of the chorus from “We’re not going to take it” 😀
it made it to #23. I don’t know what it was about that period of time that inspired these type of singles but there were a few of them… terrible..
