Hi-Five an R&B vocal band from David Koresh country- Waco, Texas- had 7 Hot 100 hits with 5 making the Top 40. This was of course their biggest going to #1. Had never heard it before today. I didn’t miss much.
Nothing to add to your comment about not missing much at the time; Vapid, relying on video editing, cute girls and choreography.
I’m at a loss. I was listening to alt-rock stations by the 90s.
Sadly, I didn’t ‘discover’ alt-rock music or radio stations until around 2010, so I heard this song a lot.
Whoa. You missed 20 years worth of some excellent stuff.
Yes I did, and am still catching up.
I have to watch my words here I guess given my current town…I know people who actually knew some of the guys in the band. But yep, up in Canada in 95, I sure never heard this song and although I wasn’t listening much to the ‘top 40’ stations at the time, I doubt I would have anyway. Not one of the high points of the decade… although miles better as a remembrance of Waco in the 90s than Koresh!
