This is a cover of The Association’s #1 hit from 1966. David Cassidy was born in Manhattan, New York City in 1950 the son of actor Jack Cassidy. Of course he was Keith Partridge in The Partridge Family in the early 70’s This was his first solo hit- from 1971-90 he would have 5 Top 40 hits. He died at the age of 67 in 2017 of liver and kidney failure. In the past few years I have often thought of what his daughter said were his last words “So much wasted time.”
