Carlos Santana was born in Mexico in 1947. The group Santana formed in San Francisco. The had 25 Hot 100 hits- 15 making the Top 40 . Their 2 #1’s came later on- 1999’s ‘Smooth’ and 2000’s ‘Maria Maria’ ‘Everybody’s Everything’ was their fourth hit.
All these first albums by Santana are good.
Again, I have to agree with CB! I really dig the first three Santana albums. I also think Santana IV from 2016, for which Carlos Santana reassembled his classic band, isn’t bad. Of course, he’s also done some other music that’s pretty good, but I always come back to the classic Santana sound.
