1971 was a big year for Aretha Franklin- 4 Top 40 hits with 3 making the Top 10- this was her biggest hit on the year- just falling short of the #1 spot. A remake of the Ben E. King smash from 1960. As good as Aretha’s version is- my go to is still Ben E. King’s original.

  1. This one I like a lot! My opinion might irritate many, but to me Aretha had a great voice, no question, but didn’t record that many great records. This one though is really catchy.
