A few years ago Pitchfork published this article on what they consider to be the best Beatles Books. A pretty good list although If I sat down and thought a while on it I would also make some more additions to the list. The best is listed here- Mark Lewisohn’s volume 1- All These Years. There are two more volumes to go- and my goal in life now is to live long enough to read the future volumes!

I’ve never read Paul McCartney: Many Years From Now or the Derek Taylor book…I want to read those.
Many Years is probably as close as we will ever get to a Paul memoir ….. i read the other day where Van Morrison is working on a book- but as someone said don’t expect anything personal -it will probably be about artists he grew up loving etc…
I wondered about the Paul book because I’ve seen so many quotes from it…I will give it a shot.
Yes Van doesn’t do personal.
I’d like to read the Derek Taylor book. He wrote parts of I, Me, Mine and I liked what I read by him in it.
