I can’t say I dislike Billy Ocean- his music was pleasant radio listening but I never once thought – I better buy me that new Billy Ocean album- or even- I want to hear that Billy Ocean song—- . Born Leslie Sabastian Charles- in Trinidad and Tobago- he moved to England when he was ten. Going by Billy Ocean- seems to fit the music he did well. He had three #1 hits in the mid-80’s. At 71 he is still active- having released a new album in 2020.
