Under The Covers- Other Artists Covering Beatles Songs; ‘Flying’- Herbie Mann. I thought if there would be a Beatles song that didn’t have a cover- ‘Flying’ from Magical Mystery Tour could be the one? I was wrong- there are a dozen or so covers of the instrumental- here is ‘Flying’ by Herbie Mann.

Like you Hans I find it surprising that so many artists covered what I would consider more of a filler – and I say this as a huge Beatles fan. That being said, Mann’s cover isn’t bad, though he could have kept it a bit shorter. It’s twice as long as the original.
