American Top 40- The 1970’s- Week of June 12, 1976. Not a very good week- some gems- my favorite on this Top 40 would be ‘The Boys Are Back In Town’ by Thin Lizzy and ‘Tear The Roof Off The Sucker’-Parliament. I can’t recall ever giving so many grades below a C in a Top 40.

  1. I don’t recognize all songs. Agree “The Boys Are Back in Town” by Thin Lizzy is a great tune. I also like the Hall & Oates and Fleetwood Mac tunes.

    “Silly Love Songs” perhaps isn’t one of Paul McCartney’s best tunes, but it has a cool bass line.

    Based on your rating, it sounds like “Afternoon Delight” should be retitled “Afternoon Nightmare” – coming even in lower than your favorite, Captain and Tennille!😆
