Under The Covers: Other Artists Covering Beatles Songs: ‘Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite’- Bee Gees & Peter Frampton. A John Lennon tune from Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. While there were a handful of fine covers on that album- most notably by Aerosmith and Earth, Wind and Fire- this one by Bee Gees, Peter Frampton and George Burns -isn’t one of them.

  1. While I’ve never heard the album, I have to agree this cover isn’t exactly overwhelming. Given how great the Bee Gees were at harmonizing, that’s a bit disappointing. Perhaps, it wasn’t a good tune tune for them to cover in the first place!
