Chase was a jazz rock band organized by Bill Chase. Chase along with three bandmates were killed in a plane crash in 1974 near Jackson, Minnesota. Chase had 3 Hot 100 singles this was their only Top 40 hit.

Chase was a tremendous band. Those four trumpets up front were incredible.
i had never heard of them until now.
There was a Chicago connection with Chase, though I’m not sure how, but we heard them a lot. Their albums were excellent, particularly their first (from which “Get It On” comes).
