What You're Doing - Wikipedia

#148: ‘What You’re Doing’ -from Beatles For Sale. A Lennon-McCartney credited song- that was written by Paul McCartney, Paul had written the song while in Atlantic City at the end of The Beatles 1964 World Tour. McCartney not a big fan of the song- calling it ‘filler.’ A highlight on the song- George Harrison’s guitar riff played on this Rickenbacker 12 string electric guitar. The song itself was inspired by Paul’s relationship with actress Jane Asher.

Beatles - Every Little Thing Vol. 2 (2 Cd Set)

#147: ‘Every Little Thing’- Beatles For Sale. Another Lennon-McCartney song from Beatles For Sale- that was written by Paul McCartney. John Lennon would help finish up the song- Paul had began to write the song in the music room at the London home of Jane Asher’s parents where he was living at the time- and finished up with the help of John in Atlantic City following the 1964 World Tour. This is a rare Lennon-McCartney song- on most Lennon-McCartney songs the main writer sang the lead- on this song John’s voice is the most prominent.
