The rumor is that the song was originally written for Elvis- I can hear that. Dan Hamilton, Joe Frank Caroilo and Tommy Reynolds were the three members and they formed in Los Angeles. ‘Don’t Pull Your Love’ was their first hit- they would have a #1 in 1975 with ‘Fallin’ In Love.’
like it a lot… I could imagine Elvis doing it, but they did a great version so who needs The King?! Great trivia question about them that’ll stump most music fans – the record label their next hit (“Fallin in Love”) came out on…. Playboy!
I saw that when looking the group up in my Billboard Hot 100 book…. I didn’t know Playboy was into music.
from what I’ve read, it was a brief and money-losing foray… I think that was their only significant hit
i guess a case of you should stick with what you know…
