John Waite’s ‘Missing You’ was a rarity on the charts in 1984- of the 19 #1 hits that year it is the only one that was at the top for only 1 week. John Waite had been the lead singer for The Babys and later Bad English. This was his first and biggest solo hit. He got a nomination for a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance Male.
