Produced by Chet Atkins. Jerry Reed was hot in the early 1970’s not only on the music charts but in the movies. “When You’re Hot, You’re Hot’ went to #1 in the country singles chart. Jerry Reed Hubbard was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1937- died at the age of 71 in 2008.
My step-father had a Jerry Reed greatest hits 8-track in the late 70s… this one and Amos Moses were the ones I wore out. He had a lot of fun songs without being cheesy…like Stafford could get.
i agree- Reed was funny- but a great musician also.
I haven’t met a guitar player who can play his licks note for note. Many heavy metal guys I’ve played with love him.
I miss his music and that crazy sense of humor.
