Under The Covers: Other Artists Covering Beatles Songs: ‘I’m Down’- Ace Frehley. Just last fall Ace Frehley of Kiss fame covered The Beatles ‘I’m Down’- the b-side of the # 1 hit single ‘Help’- a Paul McCartney song where he channels his inner Little Richard. I’ve never been much of a Kiss fan- but this cover- and cartoon is entertaining.

  2. Same here. Except for a few songs, I feel pretty indifferent about KISS. That being said, Frehley does a decent job with this cover.

    I see he included that version on a covers album from last year. Based on sampling a few of the other tracks, I think “I’m Down” may be a highlight on the album.
