We move into 1965 with The Beatles first release of the new year- the single “Ticket To Ride.” The most famous cover of ‘Ticket To Ride’ is the rather disappointing- but nevertheless #1 hit by The Carpenters a decade later- but a number of artists have covered the song- including The Bee Gees. The best cover- is by another Liverpool band- Echo & The Bunnymen- from their B-sides & Live-[2001-2005] album.
