GREAT BASEBALL NICKNAMES: ‘THE MILLVILLE METEOR’- MIKE TROUT

Mike Trout home run: Taking Michael Pineda and the Twins deep, in 2019 - Halos Heaven

Great Baseball Nicknames: ‘The Millville Meteor’- Mike Trout. I would have to check-but I don’t think I have used any active players nicknames in this feature this month. The greatest player of this century so far- without question has been Mike Trout the center fielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers. At the age of 29 he has already been an 8 time All-Star- and has won 3 AL MVP Awards. It will be interesting to see how he does in the next 7-8 years. He is certainly on his way to being one of the all time greats. He is already a certain Hall of Famer. The thing I am interested in seeing- many a player as they get into their 30’s- begin to fade. If Trout can only keep up what he is doing right now until say 36-37 years old… I am rooting for him. I hope baseball fans are appreciating this great ballplayer. When all is said and done he might be mentioned as one of the say 10 Greatest Players of all time. His nickname – he grew up in Millville, New Jersey.
