Elton John’s third U.S hit- ‘Friends’ was the theme song from the movie Friends. “Friends’ was the follow up to his first Top 40 hit ‘Your Song.’ Elton was still one year away from his big breakout year of 1972 when he would have 3 Top 10 hits including his first #1 “Crocodile Rock.”

  1. Believe it or not, this was one of the first 10 LPs I owned as a kid… I was a big Elton fan circa ’73-75 and saw this one in a store and bought it. I thought it was pretty good though I didn’t know even one song off it at the time!
