I’ve never had any use for Styx. Other than “Come Sail Away”- which I actually heard on the radio yesterday- and find hilarious [I don’t think they meant it for laughs} I can’t think of anything by this band that’s worth much. A few years back my friend Gunther and I were out having a record day in Pittsburgh and he picked up Styx The Grand Illusion album- and then started going on about the first concert he ever saw was Styx on their Grand Illusion Tour. A sad first concert but he liked them so…. I’ll not be too much of a music snob and will just shut up. Anyhow- the 1970’s went on on a wimper as far as #1 hit- the final two- ‘Babe’ by Styx and the last one -tomorrow’s feature- even worse if that is possible- “Escape” by Rupert Holmes. Gag. Styx Stnx. Even more than The Iggles.
