As celebrated as Michael Jackson’s next album- 1982’s Thriller is- I think Off The Wall which is about as good of an album- seems to get overshadowed. This was Jackson’s fifth solo album and the first one he had creative control over. “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” was his second solo #1- “Ben” in 1972 being the first. This was the first single off of Off The Wall- in the end there would be four Top 10 hits- “Rock With You”- also went to #1 and “Off The Wall” and “She’s Out Of My Life” would both peak at #10.
I like this song…and I am no MJ fan.
