- DAVID BOWIE: STATION TO STATION: 1976: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: ROCK: Another great 1970’s Bowie album- this one introducing Bowie was “The Thin White Dude” and the album that Bowie would later claim to have been so coked up that he couldn’t remember making it. The Mount Rushmore- are the four singles from the album [which had six songs total}- “Golden Years”, “Station To Station”, “TVC15” and “Stay.” I would call Bowie the greatest album artist of the decade. Stevie Wonder docked points for The Secret Life Of Plants.
I have often said that if I were forced to choose just one of Bowie’s albums as my favorite, it would be “Station to Station.” Every track is, IMO, a gem.
I love how he kept changing things up!
