Andy Gibb’s third #1 within a year- his brothers The Bee Gees had 3 themselves over that time period. An era of singles holding down the #1 position for a long time- late in 1977- “You Light Up My Life” 10 weeks/ “Night Fever” 8 weeks and now “Shadow Dancing” 7 weeks. The Bee Gees wrote this song for brother Andy while in Los Angeles filming the ill fated Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band movie. “Shadow Dancing” was the #1 song on Billboard’s 1978 Top 100 Songs- according to the charts.
Ah, the memories… In 1978, I got a new stereo system for my birthday. I got this album as an 8-track to go with it.
Another bubblegum tune I like.
