Billboard #1 Hits: #427: ” Dreams”- Fleetwood Mac. June 18, 1977. #1 for 1 week in Billboard Hot 100.

  • Single: “Dreams”- Fleetwood Mac
  • Record Company- Warner Bros
  • Genre: Rock
  • Written by Stevie Nicks
  • Time: 4:14
  • B-side: “Songbird”
  • Album- Rumours
  • Grade: A+
  • Peaked at #1 1 week in Billboard Hot 100. #24 in UK Singles Chart. #1 in Canada.

“Dreams” was the second single released from the legendary late 70’s album Rumours- “Go Your Own Way” the first single had peaked at #10- “Dreams” would go all the way to the top. My favorite Stevie Nicks song. I was not aware of this but apparently “Dreams’ in late 2020 has had a resurgence in popularity due to something called Tik Tok which has created a viral video- the song has re-entered the charts in certain countries and had reappeared on a few Top 40 stations in the U.S. as well. After Nicks had written the song her fellow band members weren’t all that impressed by it and she had to make them really listen to it- good thing they did- it would be Fleetwood Mac’s first- and only #1 hit in America.
