The Originals: Songs The Beatles Covered: “Dizzy Miss Lizzy”- Larry Williams. The Beatles covered “Dizzy Miss Lizzy” on The Help! album as the final song on side 2. John Lennon provided the vocals. “Dizzy Miss Lizzy” was written and first performed in 1958 by Larry Williams. As a single it had limited success- peaking at #69. The Beatles would cover two other Larry Williams songs- “Bad Boy” which was recorded the same day as “Dizzy Miss Lizzy” and “Slow Down.” John Lennon was a fan of Williams. Larry Williams would meet a tragic end- a suspicious suicide in 1980 at the age of 44.
