Leo Sayer and Vini Poncia won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song- which had to be a questionable selection. Ray Parker Jr played guitar on the song- before his days in Raydio- or a solo career. This was the first of two #1 hits for Leo Sayer in the U.S.- his next single “When I Need You” was the other.
I got so tired of this guy’s voice in the 70s.
I agree that voice is annoying maybe that is why after a brief period of hits he faded away around the turn of the 80s?
