“Whispering Bill” Anderson is a country music singer-songwriter/ actor. He had 80 country single hits from 1958-91- on the pop charts he had 5 Hot 100 singles with one Top 40- “Still”- 1963 #8. This is a pathetic song but I give it a D instead of an F kind of a like a bad movie that is entertaining in a weird way. Hokey.
Well, that was a thing 🙂
OMG, this is horrific! It sounds like something insufferable pious phonies like Mike Pence or Mike Huckabee might sing.
I wonder why he didn’t finger point any of his fellow country music musicians in the song? I thought it was interesting also that [I’d have to listen to it again to get his exact words and I don’t want to start my day by listening to that song again}- how Joe DiMaggio was a ‘great guy”- of course I never knew him but from what I’ve read- he was a great ballplayer but fell a little short of being a great guy.
