Ranking All 35 Billboard #1 Singles 1976. 35 singles hit #1 in 1976- what a mediocre bunch- it was very hard to rank them. A handful stood out but I am certain that If I were to rank my 200 favorite songs ever-none of these #1’s would get any consideration for that list. It wasn’t a poor year overall.

I need to look over singles that weren’t #1 that year has to be better than the ones that made #1. Honestly after the first few on my list if I didn’t hear the others ever again I wouldn’t miss them…. We’re you a disco goer?
OMG, yes! I absolutely loved disco and was a dancing fool from 1975-79. Once disco died and I entered a long-term relationship in 1980, my disco days came to an abrupt halt. Now I’m just a fool lol.
You sound like you got a lot of enjoyment out of it that is what counts- what was your favorite all time disco song?
