Hans Remembers- Saturday November 7, 1970- 50 Years Ago.

  • Royal Caribbean Cruise Line- which today is the highest grossing ocean liner service in the world- on this day made its first voyage as passengers boarded the MS Song of Norway- departing Miami at 6pm for a seven day round trip tour with stops in the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
  • Born on this day in Parkersburg, West Virginia- Morgan Spurlock- American documentary filmmaker- best known for 2004’s Super Size Me.
  • POTUS Richard Milhous Nixon issued a National Security Decision Memorandum changing U.S. policy in the Persian Gulf from balancing aid among gulf nations to one favoring Iran and making the Shah of Iran the closest U.S. ally in the region. Wonder how that turned out?
