Produced by the 5th Beatles- Beatles producer George Martin. It was the 20th #1 George Martin produced- the first that didn’t have The Beatles name on it. This was America’s second and final #1- the other being ” A Horse With No Name” in 1972. They did have six Top 10 hits in their career. Gerry Beckley who wrote the song said he was inspired by Jackson Browne when he wrote the song.
