
Hans Remembers- Monday November 2, 1970- 50 Years Ago.
- Funny how the government always comes up with some good news right before an election- although this was just the mid-term election that would be coming up the next day– the U.S. Military Assistance Command in Vietnam made an early announcement that American soldier casualties were the lowest they had been since 1965. The week of October 25-31 24 soldiers had been killed, 431 wounded.
- The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Boston- Cardinal Richard Cushing died at the age of 75.
Almost as if we were “turning the corner” in Vietnam, so to speak…
